Proper Care For Your Deerskin Breeches

While deerskin has natural oils that will keep it soft and supple for years to come, proper care is essential. We recommend using breech wash products for care of your deerskin breeches. Murphy's Oil Soap, available at your local grocery store, works very well for all colored breeches (don't use on white breeches - it will yellow them). Machine wash separately in cold water on gentle cycle. Do not use any fabric softener. These products can adversely affect the dyeing process of the leather.

To dry, hang breeches away from direct sunlight. Do not place breeches in the dryer. After drying, the leather may feel a little stiff. Just go ahead and put your breeches on. You will be amazed at how the leather will soften up again.
