Gore-Tex® is the most durably waterproof, highly breathable, totally
windproof fabric on the planet. This amazing fabric is created when
the Gore-Tex® membrane is laminated to a high-performance textile.
A single square inch of Gore-Tex® membrane contains 9 billion
microscopic pores - each 20 times smaller than a raindrop but 700
times larger than a molecule of water vapor - so while water can't
pass through the fabric, a horses perspiration can. |

World’s Greatest Fly Sheet
- This protective sheet gets high marks for cut and
style. Made of a lightweight but tough mesh that will keep the bugs off
without overheating your horse and help shield him from the sun’s
harmful ultraviolet rays. It’s reflective, lightweight and wicks
moisture so sweat passes through and evaporates quickly, helping keep your
horse cooler. Because it’s interlock woven, even if you horse snags it
on his pasture mate’s teeth, at least he’ll come away wearing more
than just the binding, because it will not fray, even when torn. Elastic
leg straps prevent shifting and the unique way they’re attached to the
surcingle and binding reduces the likelihood of them ripping the mesh
fabric. While not indestructible, the Saratoga Summer

performs well. If your horse snags it on trees, nails, sharp rocks, etc.
it will tear, but the ripstop fabric will minimize the damage. Easy to
wash and care for, we’ve been using these on our farm for seven years
now and the flies hate them!
